Welcome and thank you for your time and energy!
The Goal and The Road Ahead
This is the third iteration of a Core Course that provides a taste of key concepts in accounting, entrepreneurship and finance. It is all online, comprised of videos and readings to do at your own pace. You can opt in or out of joining the other test drivers on this journey.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to use these activities to help you with your enterprise, and to together figure out how to help others better.
At the end of this test programme, we hope you will:
The Easy AF Intro Group 3.0 (G3) Programme
Optional Activities
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to use these activities to help you with your enterprise, and to together figure out how to help others better.
At the end of this test programme, we hope you will:
- Be more confident talking about accounting, enterprise, and finance
- Have a different perspective on our economic and financial system, with a Big Picture in your mind
- Have ideas about how to help Your People
The Easy AF Intro Group 3.0 (G3) Programme
- First, please mail easyafintro@gmail.com with "G3" in the subject line, and this information:
- Your first name,
- Your job or reason why you want to upskill on accounting, finance, or entrepreneurship, and
- Why you suffer re: accounting, finance, or entrepreneurship
- Would like to join the cohort and make the journey together with the other G3 participants? Yes or no. Yes means: we share our introductory answers with the whole group, we take your email address off of BCC, you will be invited to group calls, and you can join the WhatsApp group. No means: we will liaise with you directly to get your feedback and your email address stays on BCC.
- Help yourself. Watch the seven Episodes linked below - please do not share the links yet because they are video works in progress!
- Help all of us. For each episode, please send to easyafintro@gmail.com:
- Do you have any clarifying questions?
- Do you have any factual corrections?
- What points resonated with you?
- Please share any ideas that came to mind.
- Help Your People. As you are watching, also please think about Your People. What are good analogies and examples to use to teach accounting, finance, and entrepreneurship basics to them? The question is: if you were to write a specifically-targeted Easy AF Intro book, what would the subtitle be? "Introduction to Accounting and Finance for [YOUR PEOPLE]" (Examples include: "for Pastry Chefs", "for Reiki Practitioners", "for Star Trek Fans", "per Italiani", "for Weavers" - your imagination is the limit.)
- We would be grateful if you could scribe each section and share your scribings in the Mighty Network
- Listen-Only Subgroup Volunteers - We will ideally have at least one or two of you scribing WITHOUT watching the videos, only listening (e.g. put another window on top, turn the laptop around - hide the video). Can you please email easyAFintro@gmail.com BEFORE you start the first video whether you are interested in being one of the ones who will scribe by listening only? Then I'll suggest an even split of "sighted" and "blind" scribing, and then you can get to it.
Optional Activities
- Join some live online calls to discuss some themes with the others in this G3 cohort. We will schedule them together based on everyone in the group's availability.
- Join the WhatsApp group to send real time thoughts, ideas and feedback
- If you have specific experience or expertise in any of the topics touched upon and are interested in contributing Plain English with intuitive, everyday analogy explanations, let us know. R&D needs to be done on deep dive topics to put into the Sourcebook (e.g. insurance, FX, ETFs, personal finance), which can be done as blog posts to begin with.

The Show
All are about an hour long, some have multiple parts because they are recorded in 20-ish minute chunks. A good pace might be to watch one episode a week or every two weeks, and work along with the activities if you wish.
We are still working on uploading links to YouTube! They are Unlisted videos, we would be grateful for you to keep the links to yourself as we are still in pilot testing!
